Quite strange thing: the street is narrow, nearly no traffic, but at night time any single car\bike or even loud speaking make much noise. So, it was difficult to sleep with the open window (no air conditioning, at least in my room).
nothing, it was the worst hotel i have ever seen in my life
Really good value for money. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was brilliant!
The showers are getting a little grotty and perhaps need to be updated.
Thre is nothing good I can say aboutb this hotel.
This is a dirty hole without A/C. (Florence in Summer, without A/C is hell.) The plase is dirty. Hasn't been cleaned for a while. Bathroom is a nightmare. When you try to cancel the rst of the booking (not the first night), they change the price, and demand cash payment.
Rooms are cold. The hotel is at the third floor and you have to carry your baggage. Showers are dirty.
No elevator. Reception is on the 4th floor. Bedsheets and towels weren't changed over a long period of time. No parking was available if you have a car. It is really difficult to find parking around the hotel and there are a lot of one way streets.
Loved the location and the informality of the hotel. The owner and his son were fantastic. Paid eur75 per night while colleagues paid eur250 and where just out of city.
It didn't bother me but there are no lifts and the hotel is actually on the 3rd floor. If you have challenges with mobility, this hotel is not for you.
The location is O.K. It's in walking distance to St. Marco, which is the old center of the city. However, it takes quite a walk to any points of interest. IF YOU ARE UNLUCKY AS US to book this hotel, please remember to 1- bring enough bug repellent. My kid got 33 mosquito bites, I got 19 on the first night. 2- order the 5 euro/night air conditioning. No matter how cool the outside could be, the room is like a closed coffin case in the night. Don't let this hotel ruin your vacation.
I don't recommend this hotel to anybody, even the backpackers. The hotel is located on 3rd floor, no elevators. The bathroom is horrible with moldy shower curtain that nobody bothers to change. After shower, you may find the water flood to the bedroom and make the tile floor dangerous for walking. Breakfast is included, but the valuable croissant is limited to one per person. The staff working morning shift was simply rude. We were asked to pay cash which we agreed. But can you imagine they don't give you change? Either go out and get the exact money by yourself, or don't check out. We need to catch the train, therefore, we searched every coin in the pockets to make the staff happy. Our family hate Florence because of this hotel.
This was the worst hotel that we have stayed in, and after a year and a half travelling around Europe that is saying something. It was extremely dirty and smelly (ie. cigarette smoke), and had a bad mosquito problem. The sheets and duvet were really grotty, and we had to think twice about getting in the bed to sleep. When I had a shower there was a major blockage which, when the hotelier came to fix the problem, he pulled out a massive hairball the size of a cat. We asked for second, cleaner room, but they claimed that there wasn't one available. We refused to stay for the second night. If you have any credibility at all as a website, you would remove these people from your listings - It was disgusting.
Nice staff, we arrived too early but our room was available. Close to the centre (duomo and trainstation). Decent bed and breakfast.
Hotel is on the 3rd floor of a building, with high stairs and no elevator. We were charged 5 euro a day for airco that didn't work. ok, it was 35°c but airco should cool the room at least a bit. Bathroom smelled terrible. When you're under the shower, at the same time you're standing in the sink because the bathroom is so 'well' organized. Luckely we only payed 40 euro (+5 for airco) a night beacause we booked last-minute.
